A Full Sunday

We had a very full day yesterday, and I mean more than just busy. It was Shake-off Sunday (which should be a national holiday). We hosted the first-annual milkshake competition among milky masterminds, Jimmy and Juddy. Let me take you from the beginning of our day.

We started event day at the crack of dawn (we just HAD to make sure we got to church in time for Taylor to get into Grow Zone). Thankfully, we just made it. And, this week, Jimmy didn't have to spend the service chasing a toddler in the hall.

After church, lunch and a nap, we headed to the pool. Most of Taylor's time was spent in Lost and Found digging through other people's toys, and playing under the shower (reference the shower-drinking child to the left).

It was then time to head home to meet the Shake-off competitor. We shared a friendly dinner of Mellow Mushroom pizza (heavenly), and then started the Shake-off. Jimmy prepared a tasty mix of ice cream and liquor, a mouth watering minty delight I like to call a Grasshopper. He scored high marks from the panel of judges, expressed through belly rubs and lots of liquor laughs. Guest competitor, milkshake junkie Juddy, then graced our tastebuds with a handmade (no blenders) milky masterpiece with customized topping options including Snickers, Twix and Butterfinger. This concoction, too, scored 10s all around. Judges were seen rolling on the floor, groaning in blissful fullness. The Shake-off was a huge success, and our now-expanded waistlines are proof.

Here's a few pictures from the tailgating party at our house. Children of the contestants were the pre-game show.
