Taylor Turns Two

Taylor unofficially celebrated her second birthday on Saturday. Her real birthday is in two days, on Thursday, but her birthday party certainly made the two-year mark feel real, right now. For the festivities, we teamed up with our good friends, The Arnolds. Their daughter, Reese, is one of Taylor’s best baby buddies. Reese was due to be born on Taylor’s first birthday, but made her grand entrance a few days early on November 2nd, 2007. Because Tay and Reese share close birthdays and close friendships, we decided to that it was only natural that they share a birthday party too. So, on Saturday, our family and friends gathered together to celebrate Taylor’s 2nd year and Reese’s 1st year. LOTS of sugar was consumed by tiny toddlers, lots of really cool presents were destroyed by a team of eager unwrappers, and lots of memories were made. I cannot believe that my child has (almost) been on this earth for TWO YEARS!

The party snacks

Taylor shared her birthday sucker with me.
This is your child.
This is your child on sugar.
The kids ate lots of pint-sized snacks.
Mini corn-dogs, sliders, mini grilled cheese, and more.
With Terminator Taylor and Alex the Destroyer at the helm,
the presents didn't stand a chance.
Our Southern girl.
Gotta love a Barbie fishing rod and tackle box.
(Check out the above link for a glimpse into our future.)
We all know Taylor's love for "loons."The kids worked off some of the sugar on the playground.
Before we gave them more.
This is Taylor's best boyfriend, Edwin, AKA "E-Wee".
Reese reflects on her first year of life.Time for cupcakes. Tay blows out the candle, and makes a wish.
For more sugar.
And they dig in. Finger lickin good.
